In the city of Nukus, a ceremonial opening was held for a new “Ona Uyi” resource center, a branch of the international Mother’s Home International Foundation in Uzbekistan.
The Foundation’s primary goal is to eliminate social orphanhood by providing comprehensive support to women in difficult life situations, as well as to those considering giving up their child. The “Ona Uyi” resource centers provide temporary safe accommodation, meals and basic living conditions, psychological, legal, and social support, consultations with medical specialists, and assistance with education and employment.

The event was organized by the Mother’s Home International Foundation branch in cooperation with the Nukus Social Service Center “Inson,” supported by patrons — Shukhrat Ergashov, founder of International Beverages Tashkent, and Aydin Rakhimbaev, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, who financed the opening of the center.
The opening ceremony was attended by government officials and public figures, including:
- Mansurbek Olloyev, Director of the National Agency of Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan;
- Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan;
- Abatbay Daniyarov, Mayor of Nukus;
- representatives of partner organizations and media.
The new resource center became the eighth in Uzbekistan. Its funding is provided by Aydin Rakhimbaev and Shukhrat Ergashov.
The Mother’s Home project was established in Kazakhstan in 2013. Over 13 years:
- More than 10,000 children have retained the opportunity to grow up in their own families;
- Up to 70% of newborn abandonments were prevented;
- The number of children in orphanages was reduced threefold.
The opening of the center in Nukus marks an important step in expanding support for women and preventing social orphanhood in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The branch has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2024. Currently, resource centers operate in Tashkent (2 centers), Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan, Kuvasay, Chirchik, and now in Nukus. Over 200 women have received assistance so far.
Today, Mother’s Home operates in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Malaysia. The project is planned to launch in Turkey in 2026.
Shukhrat Ergashov, founder of International Beverages Tashkent, noted:
“For our company, participating in the opening of the ‘Ona Uyi’ center is a real contribution to supporting women and preserving families. Business social responsibility must be expressed through concrete actions. We are proud to be part of a project that gives every woman and child the chance to keep their family and hope for the future.”
