In September, the “Ona Uyi” project – implemented in Uzbekistan with the support of the Mother’s Home International Foundation (MHIF) – continued to expand. Two new centers have officially opened their doors in the cities of Chirchik and Kuvasay.
With these additions, Uzbekistan now has seven “Ona Uyi” homes, offering comprehensive support to women facing difficult life circumstances.
The project is carried out in partnership with the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and aims to preserve families and prevent social orphanhood.
As in other centers, the new “Ona Uyi” homes provide mothers not only with safe accommodation and nutrition, but also with professional assistance from psychologists, social workers, and healthcare specialists.
During their stay (up to six months), women receive training and career guidance, helping them regain confidence, acquire new skills, and build a sustainable future for themselves and their children.
“Every child deserves to grow up with their mother” – this principle continues to guide all “Ona Uyi” centers across Uzbekistan.
