Teaching PFFs
The Foundation has started training professional foster families. The training is conducted within the framework of a pilot project on the introduction of the Professional Foster Family Institute, which was launched in the Akmola Region last year. 3 families participated in the training sessions.
A professional family is an alternative to orphanages. If the child’s parents get into a difficult life situation, then their baby is placed not in a boarding school but in a professional family.
Madi and Bakyt Kazhymuratovs were among the first participants of the project. Bakyt was the first to get passionate about an idea but she couldn’t make a decision on her own. As a result, all the household members supported the mother’s wish, which made us very happy. In a month, the couple will complete special training. So as soon as professional foster families are legally approved, Madi and Bakyt will be able to accept children into their one.
